While looking up limousine information, I kept running past the Tank limousine. So I figure I might as well write a little bit on it. It started out in London, and is legal to use there. I haven’t been able to find out if it is legal in the United States yet.
The limo is a modified British FV432 tank, which includes common limo amenities like a bar. They’ve also added some padded bench seats, DVD players, and cut some windows into it. The tank can seat eight passengers and takes a crew of three people to drive it. Renting this tank is an expensive adventure, and cost may include transporting it to your location on a flatbed (i.e. you don’t live close to the limo company), as well as a charge for excess mileage.
